Can this plant survive UAE summer heat (45°C+)?
Most plants in our outdoor range are heat-tolerant and acclimatised to UAE conditions. Provide afternoon shade for the first 2 weeks after planting and ensure consistent deep watering during peak summer.
How often should I water in summer vs winter?
In summer (May-September) water deeply every 1-2 days, ideally early morning or after sunset. In winter (November-February) reduce to every 3-5 days. Always check the top 2-3 cm of soil before watering.
Should I plant in ground or keep in pot?
Planting in ground gives stronger root growth and better heat resilience long-term. Pots offer flexibility for balconies and rented homes - choose a pot at least 1.5x the root ball with drainage holes.
How much sun exposure does it need?
Refer to the climate pills near the top of this page. Most outdoor specimens prefer full sun (6+ hours) but benefit from light afternoon shade during July-August. Indoor-acclimated plants need 1-2 weeks of gradual sun exposure before full outdoor placement.
When and how should I fertilize?
Feed every 4-6 weeks from October to April with a balanced NPK fertiliser (e.g. 20-20-20). Reduce or pause feeding during peak summer (June-August) when plants slow growth. Always water before fertilising to protect roots.
