Croton, Codiaeum variegatum, may be a common houseplant developed for its striking foliage. It is one of six species of broadleaf evergreen perennials, shrubs, and little trees in this class within the euphorbia family (Euphorbiaceae) which are local to tropical Asia and the western Pacific locale (not to be confused with Croton, another class of more than 700 species within the same family, in which it was once inaccurately classified as Croton variegatum). This evergreen bush or little tree varies widely in leaf color and design and various cultivars have been created. It could be a delicate lasting, solid as it were in zones 11-12. In subtropical and tropical climates they are as often as possible utilized as scene bushes for emotional supports, strong central focuses in gardens, or pruned examples around buildings.
