Succulent Echeveria Bordeaux Hard, Type 1F, 0.3LP, 10-15CM

Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’ is a stunning and compact succulent known for its vibrant, reddish-purple to burgundy-colored leaves, forming a neat rosette shape. This echeveria variety is particularly admired for its intense color, which becomes more pronounced when exposed to bright light. Like most succulents, Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’ is low-maintenance and ideal for indoor and outdoor succulent collections, terrariums, or rock gardens.

Here’s how to care for Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’:

Light Requirements
Bright, direct sunlight is ideal for Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’. The more sunlight it receives, the more intense its reddish-purple hues will become.
Indoors, place the plant near a south- or west-facing window where it can get several hours of direct sunlight each day.
If grown outdoors, position it in a sunny spot that gets at least 6 hours of sunlight daily.
Watering
Like most succulents, Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’ prefers to dry out completely between waterings. Use the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly, allowing water to drain out of the pot, and then wait for the soil to dry completely before watering again.
Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s important to avoid letting the plant sit in water or wet soil.
In the winter months, reduce watering since the plant will be in a semi-dormant state and requires less moisture.
Humidity and Temperature
Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’ thrives in low humidity and prefers warm, dry conditions. It’s perfectly suited for average indoor humidity levels.
Ideal temperatures for growth are between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Echeverias can tolerate higher temperatures as long as they are not overwatered.
Echeveria ‘Bordeaux’ is not frost-tolerant and should be protected from temperatures below 40°F (4°C). If grown outdoors, bring it inside before the first frost.
Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix specifically designed for succulents and cacti. A mix of regular potting soil combined with sand, perlite, or pumice works well to ensure proper drainage.
Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom.
